Overview
Part of the Staffing Methodology enables Full-time equivalent (FTE) calculations for Nursing and Midwifery staff. The FTE calculation is a systematic, validated method for generating a recommended roster and budgeted FTE.
Having the right roster model by shift and by day of the week is the best way to provide quality nursing care per patient. The right roster model means less staffing changes and the right budgeted FTE. The right budgeted FTE means employing the right number of staff.
